Brid Ryan graduated as a pharmacist from Trinity College Dublin and completed her pre-registration training in community pharmacy. She then moved to hospital pharmacy and joined the pharmacy department team of the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital (MMUH) in 2007.
Since then Brid has completed her MSc Clinical Pharmacy with Robert Gordon University Aberdeen while specialising in the areas of Oncology, Haematology, Clinical Trials and Aseptic Compounding and has become an Honorary Clinical Lecture with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.
At present she is the Aseptic Compounding Service Manager in the MMUH.
Key achievements in this role are the relocation of the aseptic compounding service to a state of the art facility and implementation of electronic prescribing, manufacture and administration of chemotherapy in the MMUH.
