Biography

 

Graduated from Chelsea School of Pharmacy and worked in formulation development Beecham Research and in regulatory affairs for Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Jane Nicholson is the former executive member of BPSA and President of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF).

Vice-President of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (F.I.P.) 1995-2002 and past President of the Industrial Pharmacy Section.

Has served on several A.B.P.I. Committees, Working and Study Groups.

Appointed by the Minister of Health as a non-executive member of the MHRA’s Supervisory Board (1991 to 2001).

Member of Council of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of G.B. (1987-94), past Chairman of the Science and Practice Committees. Member of Transcom 2008. Currently a Steering Committee member of the Industrial Pharmacists Forum.

Honorary tutor in Regulatory Affairs for Manchester University.

Chair of COST Working Party 3, European Medicines Shortages Research Network addressing distribution problems of medicines.
