Assistant Director of Pharmacy for Governance and Risk, Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust
Derek Taylor is Assistant Director of Pharmacy for Governance and Risk at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust and has specialised in acute stroke services for many years. He was the pharmacist representative on the Royal College of Physician’s Intercollegiate Stroke Working Party for a number of years and has published and continues to lecture on the role of the pharmacist in a Stroke Unit.
Derek has also been chairman of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association’s Care of the Elderly Group since 1997. This group has provided education and networking for a wide range of pharmacists working in older people services and has contributed to a number of national papers and consultations over the years.
